Today was a historic day for the Sorro clan (utah valley chapter). We bought our first house at about 10 a.m. this morning. It was so exciting. This has been a big goal for us for such a long time. It didn't seem real until we got to the house and started ripping out yucky linoleum and tearing away baseboards. There is SO much work to do! It's overwhelming, but this is just another adventure for our family. . . making this house our own. I'm glad I get to do it with the people I love the most. Off to bed . . .

My mother's day

My mother's day started a little early . . . Saturday night Tony suprised me with a custard tart and a copy of the Wedding Singer, one of my top fives . . . needless to say I went to sleep one happy camper. Sunday was great, I got to sleep in, and I even took a two hour afternoon nap! We had a BBQ with the fam (Tony's first time BBQ-ing). He did a great job. It was a great day. It's nice to be loved :-)

TheFarm@thanksgiving point . . .

We have been promising the kids for a few weeks now that we would be going to the farm to see animals, but this weather has been so weird. Finally, a beautiful saturday . . . Ella LOVED riding the horse. We almost had Ethan convinced that he wanted to ride too but he bailed at the last minute. He really liked the wagon ride though. They both liked feeding the goats. There were three little baby goats that I fell in love with. All in all it was a well spent $12 bucks for an hour and a half of super family fun. We ended the day with slurpees and popcorn @ target. It was awesome.

Feeling Crafty

Made some cards today . . . I have an obscene amount of thickers that I got at the American Crafts warehouse sale. When I took them all out to organize them by color ( am I the only one that does that?) my husband stood there in disbelief/disgust and didn't talk to me for twenty minutes. I may have forgot to tell him how much I spent . . . seriously, I think I have like 100. Out of control!

The Best Day Ever!

Saturday was the best day EVER! Earlier this week my husband totally suprised me by tracking down this Coach purse I had been pining for ever since I spotted it at Coach outlet in Las Vegas a few weeks prior. I have to hand it to him, the man pays attention.

Anyway, he found it at the Coach outlet in Park City so on Saturday, off we went!

Besides being absolutely FABULOUS, this bag retailed for over $400 and I got it for $188. I get a kick out of stuff like that. After a lovely lunch at the local Taco Bell ,we headed home.

I think I even got to take a nap.

I loved being able to spend the day with my husband and my kids.

That made Saturday the best day ever.
